Our mission

Give mission-driven organizations the leverage to fund their own future. Fulcrum Impact promotes the development of social enterprises — more-than-profit business ventures that use blended-value models to pair a revenue-generating business with a social-value generating element. We help nonprofits, churches and community ventures build the earned revenue that sustains their mission, so the impact outlives any single grant.

  • 32+ academies delivered
  • 300+ organizations strengthened
  • 150 business mentors engaged
  • $10M+ in new investment and earned income

Programs

What we do

Four connected programs carry the mission from classroom to cash flow.

  • Academies for Social Entrepreneurship — regional cohorts train three to six months, are matched with business mentors, and close with a fast-pitch venture competition.
  • Nonprofit investment fund — patient capital for social ventures with a credible earned-revenue plan.
  • Impact Studio — a working newsroom and production house, including The Park and Buena Park TV, produced with Buena Park High School and Buena Park Middle School.
  • Fiscal and consulting services — fiscal sponsorship, banking services, and nonprofit consulting.

Portrait of Larry Savala III

1st Assistant Camera

Larry Savala III

Larry Savala III has more than twenty years in television, and has led engineering and technical operations at LA36 (LA Channel 36) since 2007 — nearly two decades keeping community programming on the air at Los Angeles’ nonprofit public access organization, whose mission is community building and learning through quality local programming.

His work covers the full broadcast chain: studio and control-room systems, editing and post-production, playout and distribution, and the coordination of the crews who run them. He came up through media operations on both sides of the industry, including technical support at Xytech Systems in Burbank, the broadcast and media workflow company, and is credited as producer on The Huntington Park Holiday Parade telecast.

On “At The Park” he brings that infrastructure knowledge and his strength in building and leading teams — making sure studio shoots, remote days and live events actually reach an audience.
