**Knott’s Berry Farm Temporarily Closes Four Attractions During Peak Summer Season**

BUENA PARK — As Knott’s Berry Farm prepares for the return of its annual Knott’s Scary Farm, the Buena Park theme park is temporarily shuttering four attractions during August for standard seasonal refurbishments and media production work.

The affected rides include Camp Snoopy favorites, a Boardwalk landmark, and Fiesta Village’s newest roller coaster.

In Camp Snoopy, Sierra Sidewinder, a spinning roller coaster that opened in 2007, will be closed for roughly a week from Aug. 10 through Aug. 15. Later in the month, Rapid River Run—a 2004 rockin’ tug flat ride also located in Camp Snoopy—will pause operations for less than a week, closing from Aug. 24 through Aug. 28.

Over on the Boardwalk, the park’s 1976 Sky Cabin observation tower will undergo a two-week seasonal maintenance period from Aug. 28 through Sept. 12.

Meanwhile, the park's newly reimagined attraction in Fiesta Village, Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress, will briefly shut down on Aug. 14 for a one-day film shoot. The multi-launch shuttle coaster—which originally debuted in 1978 as Montezooma’s Revenge—reopened on Aug. 6 after a $20 million overhaul that introduced new supports, track, a revamped launch system, updated coaster trains, and a new backstory. Following the completion of the production work on Aug. 14, the ride is scheduled to reopen to park guests by 3 p.m.

The temporary closures come ahead of Knott’s Scary Farm 2026, which will run on select nights from Sept. 17 through Oct. 31.
