## Buena Park Celebrates Grand Opening of New Flagship 7-Eleven/ Ladero Taco on Beach Boulevard
**BUENA PARK, Calif. — June 2026** — The City of Buena Park officially welcomed the opening of a new flagship 7-Eleven/ Laredo Taco location at **8650 Beach Boulevard**, marking a significant investment in one of the city’s most visible commercial corridors.
Located on a spacious 1.2-acre site that once housed the beloved Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour, the new convenience store and fueling station serves as a modern gateway for visitors entering Buena Park’s entertainment district and commercial center.
The grand opening ceremony was organized by **Andrew Tran**, Corporate Area Leader for 7-Eleven, alongside **Andrew Gregson** and the team from the **North Orange County Chamber of Commerce**. The event brought together elected officials, business leaders, nonprofit organizations, residents, and community stakeholders to celebrate the newest addition to Buena Park’s business community.

_“The North Orange County Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome 7-Eleven/ Laredo Taco’s newest flagship location to Buena Park,”_ said **Andrew Gregson**, President & CEO of the North Orange County Chamber of Commerce. _“This investment represents confidence in our community, creates local jobs, strengthens our commercial corridor, and demonstrates what is possible when businesses, local government, and community organizations work together. We are grateful to the 7-Eleven/ Laredo Taco teams for choosing Buena Park and for their commitment to giving back through organizations like the Boys & Girls Club.”_
Representatives from the offices of **Senator Tony Strickland**, **Senator Tom Umberg**, **Congressman Derek Tran**, **Congressman Lou Correa**, **Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva**, and **Orange County Supervisor Doug Chaffee** attended the festivities. Joining them were **Buena Park City Councilmembers Carlos Franco, Susan Sonne, Joyce Ahn, and Lamiya Hoque**, as well as **City Manager Aaron France**, **Assistant City Manager Eddie Fenton**, **City Clerk Adria Vicuña**, and **Community Development Director Matt Foulks**.
The project team included **David Woosley**, OSSS Project Lead, and **Michelle Cram**, Regional Director, who helped oversee the development and successful launch of the location.
As part of the celebration, 7-Eleven presented a charitable donation to the **Boys & Girls Club of Buena Park**, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting local youth and community organizations.
Under sunny skies, attendees enjoyed a festive atmosphere filled with live entertainment, community engagement, and family-friendly activities. Bubbles floated through the air while a dancing 7-Eleven Slurpee mascot delighted guests of all ages and Laredo Taco gave visitors a choice between a steak or chicken taco to try. Live music from Latin tribute band **Marcela & Kafe Tekila (@marcelaykafetekila)** energized the crowd as vendors representing products available in-store offered samples and demonstrations.
Standing alongside elected officials, business leaders, and community members during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, representatives from 7-Eleven and the North Orange County Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed customers to the highly visible Beach Boulevard location, signaling a new chapter for one of Buena Park’s most recognizable gateway properties.
The new location also introduces **Laredo Taco Company**, providing fresh food options for travelers, workers, and residents looking to fuel both themselves and their vehicles.
For Buena Park City Councilmember Carlos Franco, the occasion represented more than the opening of a new business.
_“As someone who grew up in Buena Park, I remember when Farrell’s was a destination that welcomed families and visitors from across Southern California,”_ said Franco. _“While our city continues to evolve, it’s encouraging to see new investments breathe life into important properties. This project transforms a long-vacant site into an active community asset that creates jobs, generates economic activity, and provides services to residents and visitors alike.”_
That sense of renewal was shared by longtime Buena Park resident **Maria Gutierrez**, who attended the event with her family.
_“I’ve driven past this corner for years and watched it sit empty,”_ Gutierrez said. _“Seeing it filled with people, music, and families again feels exciting. It shows that Buena Park is continuing to grow while bringing new opportunities to the community.”_
The opening reflects continued investment along the Beach Boulevard corridor, one of Buena Park’s most important economic engines and home to world-renowned attractions, hospitality businesses, restaurants, and retail destinations.
As the ribbon was cut and community members explored the new store, the event served as a reminder that successful economic development is about more than buildings—it is about creating places that bring people together.

- making involvement simple
- staying consistent month‑to‑month
