We believe the work we do at the Museum contributes to a better understanding of our comprehensive American Story; creates pathways for maintaining a more civil, safe, and economically sound community; and fosters resilient, empathetic fire service leadership. We honor this work through the AAFFM by: Uncovering and revealing truths; Interpreting the fire service experience in meaningful ways; Celebrating the courage, ingenuity, and creativity of African-American Firefighters.
